DRAGGED: Chapter 1 Announced!
(Written February 25th 2026)

As of typing this, it’s one day before DRAGGED get’s announced. So I’m typing this from the past! This article will just go over some things I wanted to say about me announcing the game, and some other news.

Firstly, DRAGGED will get an actual gameplay trailer in April. Date is still undecided. I wanted to show the gameplay trailer on the 26th, (the reveal date,) but the current build of the game that I have so far is still messy to say the least. Essentially, a lot of bugs, missing animations, placeholder sprites, and lack of music. So to give DRAGGED the best possible trailer it can get, I’m giving myself more time to make a trailer that shows what the game looks like with all of said placeholders removed and replaced with actual sprites/animations. (And it gives me time to make a sick-ass battle theme.)

The BIG thing I wanted to showcase is the Battle System. I won’t spoil what it looks like, it’s still in it’s early stages of being finalized. But what I CAN say is that it will be similar to a rhythm game, as attack patterns will sync up with the battle music. As well as using two parts of your keyboard to dodge said attacks. (Possibly controlling more than one character?)

I want to keep this article short, but the last thing I want to disclose is a big one. DRAGEGD: Chapter 1 will be… Completely Free! Yes, you heard that right. The first chapter of the game will be FREE when it launches. Future chapters however, will be paid. However, when I plan to launch Chapter 2, the game will be purchasable with a one-time fee that will grant you access to every other chapter when it’s released. I’m unsure of the exact price yet, but I’ll write another article mentioning this when Chapter 1 is in it’s final stages of development.

I wonder who that kid was and why a shadow-like hand pulled them under their bed? Now that is an interesting question.

So to summarize, a proper reveal trailer is coming in April, with a primary focus on the battle system, along with the game being free. That’s all I really gotta say for now. I’ll write another article when the gameplay trailer comes out that includes some concept art, and some old sprites from years prior to the start of development.

See you in April!
